Lesson Plans October 16th to October 20th

Standard

7th Grade Advanced Math

Monday-Student holiday-Students may come to the school from 1pm to 3pm to help set up but this is NOT required.

Tuesday-We will be in the thinklab all day working on the 3d model of the school for Global Maker Day.  We will be LIVE from 12:30pm to 1pm.  If you haven’t already registered please do so.  You have to do that this year.

Thursday-Functions and Relations

Friday-Identifying the rate of change from a graph.

 

8th Grade Pre-Algebra

Monday-Student holiday

Tuesday-Quiz

Wednesday-Proportional vs Non-Proportional Relationships

Thursday-Direct Variation

Friday-We’ll work on the review for students who were in class Thursday. If your student was out Thursday, they’ll do Direct Variation.  The football game is in Atlanta and about half of my last two classes will be out.

Lesson Plans October 9th to October 13th

Standard

7th Grade Advanced Math will be working on their Global Maker Day project all week.

 

8th Grade Pre-Algebra

Monday-Slope Intercept Form. y=mx+b Introducing the y-intercept

Tuesday-Using Slope Intercept from a table and word problems-writing the equations.

Wednesday-Quiz

Thursday-Systems of Equations on a graph

Friday-Identifying Proportionality from a graph, table and word problems.

Lesson Plans August 15th-August 18th

Standard

7th Grade Advanced/8th Grade Pre-Algebra

Tuesday-Students will learn about classroom rules and agreement handout will handed out.  It’ll be due Thursday.

Wednesday-Students will review the graphing calculator and Desmos app on their chromebook.

Thursday-Problem Solving skills-Students will work in groups to solve them.

Friday-Review ordering number from least to greatest ONLY using Rational Numbers.

 

6th Grade Advanced Math

Tuesday-Students will learn about classroom rules and agreement handout will handed out.  It’ll be due Thursday.

Wednesday-Problem solving skills

Thursday-Fractions/Decimals/Percents activity.  Students will be sent home with a video lesson and a foldable to complete for review.  This will be due on Monday.

Friday-Student will use centimeter square to learn how to square numbers.
